For years, the Reactoonz franchise has been a story of extremes. The beloved 2017 original offered modest potential (a 4,570x max win), while its spin-offs have swung wildly from the low-payout Gigantoonz (4,000x) to the highly potent Dr. Toonz (22,000x). Now, with the release of Reactoonz 100 on October 23rd, Play’n GO is finally giving the original a direct, high-potential upgrade.
Base Game Overview
At its core, this is the classic Reactoonz experience. Played on a 7x7 grid, wins are made by clustering five or more matching aliens, triggering cascades. The fan-favourite random wild features, Instability and Fluctuation, both make a welcome return, ensuring the base game remains dynamic.
The key change is the new win multiplier, which can climb to x100. This isn't a simple global multiplier; it's tied to a randomly selected "Energized Toon" on each cascade. The multiplier only applies to wins that include that specific symbol, creating a new focal point for players to track on the grid.
Bonus Features
The four classic Quantum features—Implosion, Alteration, Demolition, and Incision—are all present, triggered by collecting 25 symbols in the Quantumeter.
The main event, however, the Gargantoon feature (also the namesake of the studio's last "Toonz" release), has been completely remixed. In a significant twist on the original formula, the process is now reversed:
- First, eight 1x1 Gargantoon Wilds appear randomly.
- After their wins are calculated, they merge into two 2x2 Gargantoon Wilds.
- Finally, they combine into a single 3x3 Gargantoon Wild for a climactic final cascade.
This fundamentally alters the rhythm of the feature, shifting it from one big splash to a sustained, three-act build-up.
Special Bets & Extras
In a move that will be very familiar to fans of the original, and one that shows a great deal of confidence in the game's core loop, Play'n GO has once again opted to exclude a Bonus Buy feature. Every Gargantoon chase must be earned organically, preserving the thrill of charging the meter.
Final Thoughts
Reactoonz 100 is a smart and calculated release. It’s Play’n GO’s direct answer to the players who found Reactoonz 2 (with its modest 5,083x max win) overly complicated. The studio has stripped the experience back to the beloved original and injected it with the high-potential math of their "100 Series".
A quick look at the paytable reveals how they've done it. A top cluster of 15+ pink aliens now pays 100x, down from 750x in the original. The potential has been deliberately shifted away from the base symbols and loaded into the new x100 multiplier system. While the 10,000x max win doesn't reach the heights of some of their other grid slots, like the Olympus series, it more than doubles the potential of its direct predecessors.
For this one, it's a carefully crafted fusion that delivers the high-volatility sequel many fans have been hoping for since 2017.
