Yggdrasil Gaming Slots Finally Available to Danish Players

The month of October has been a busy one for a leading iGaming developer Yggdrasil, and November just had a great start with a deal with Jackpotjoy Group. This means Yggdrasil slots will soon also be available for Danish players on big brand casinos like Vera&John and InterCasino, which score high on our FRank as well.

The entrance to Danish market follows earlier expansions to Italy, with GVC brand Gioco Digitale, and the most recent one, Georgia, by partnering with the country’s largest online operator, Adjarabet.

Content-wise, the agreement means an addition of some of their best-performing games, including one of their latest releases Jungle Books and the game of the year 2017 candidate, Vikings Go Berzerk. Whether or not they’ll also add the progressive Joker Millions slot is unclear, though they may want to duplicate the success of the Swedish Vera&John site, where a lucky Swedish player triggered 33,748,248 SEK or about €3.48 million just a few days ago.

What we do know they’ll also add to the games are the in-game promotional tools like BOOST™, including Cash Race and Missions, as well as the social sharing tool BRAG™. This means Danes will see more of the special promotions tied to Yggdrasil slots, both new and hot, with 4 to 5-digit prize pools, at least.

When exactly the games will go live at the regulated Danish sites is unknown. For now, the casino players would have to do with a selection of hit slots from Play’n GO, Thunderkick, Quickspin, Microgaming, and [now] the award-winning ELK Studios, just to name a few. Now here’s a word from the company representatives.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “We are committed to growing our footprint in Europe’s regulated markets, so it was a logical next step for us to enter Denmark with Vera&John and InterCasino.”

He added “The market is close to key Nordic territories so we expect our product to be quickly welcomed by players… Our flexible platform and structured operation mean we welcome regulatory developments in Denmark and beyond, and are in a strong position to adapt to requirements.”

Victor Olinger, Head of Gaming at Jackpotjoy Group, said: “Yggdrasil slots are enjoyed by players across Europe’s regulated markets, so it is a major coup to be the first to agree to bring these titles to Denmark.”

“We always strive to offer the very best collection of games available to our players and adding the Yggdrasil portfolio really underlines that commitment.”

All in all, it was about time Yggdrasil entered the Danish market. Any Danes reading? Are you a fan of the studio’s releases? Leave your comments below for thumbs up or down.
