Casinos supporting French language

French is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Thanks to colonial efforts primarily during the 16th and 17th centuries, the Francophone countries dot the entire globe, finding purchase as far from their source as Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.

One of the results of French colonization was not just the adoption of French itself, but also the development of creole dialects, especially in the Caribbean. Most notably Haitian Creole, these are contact languages that were created by mixing French with the native language of the area. Another place where French-based creole is very famous is New Orleans, which draws heavily from the French culture as well.

French is a Romance Language, meaning that it is based mostly in Latin, the language of Rome. It is also heavily influenced by the Celtic language of the Gauls that used to live in the northern part of the country and the German Frankish language from when that particular tribe invaded after the Romans left. An estimated 274 million people around the world speak French as either a first or second language and it is still considered a mark of education in some places to speak the language fluently.
