New Games to Play in May from Microgaming and Playtech
Two iGaming giants, Microgaming and Playtech, have just announced what they’ve been working on that’s available for play right now or in the coming weeks. We’ll be taking a quick look at two exclusive slots and one hybrid which will especially appeal to poker fans.
This time, Microgaming is pleased to announce two exclusive games which have been put together by one of the bespoke developers on the Quickfire aggregator platform: Just For The Win.
Their first new video slot, which just came out on 2nd May, is called Temple of Tut. It has a 5x3 reel and 10 pay-lines which pay in both directions. One of the main features is the stacked symbols, which can also be turned super-stacked along with Wilds thanks to a random in-game feature called Super Reels.
This Egyptian-themed game also features a classic free spins bonus that can be triggered with 3 or more Scatters. During freebies, the Super Reels add-on is active at all times and therefore with 50% more Wilds in them to boost your wins even further. Get 3 or more of those Scarab Scatters to re-trigger the spins for up to 30 rounds in total.
Just For The Win’s second game of the month is called Amazing Aztecs. It’s coming out on 31st May and it also has a 5x3 reel but not 10 but 243 ways game. The base game will feature Giant Re-Spins that can be triggered at random, making 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 Giant symbols that can take any win to a whole new level as a second-chance feature.

Playtech has more exciting news with the launch of a new poker game: Age of the Gods™ Twister Poker. Based on their ever-growing Age of the Gods brand, it’s the second time the developers have combined a slot with a different game, following Age of the Gods™ Live Roulette which first came out in 2016.
Like the above-mentioned, Age of the Gods™ Twister Poker will feature two jackpots: one that’s linked to the four-tier progressive jackpot, which is also available in the same group of slots, and one that’s randomly triggered at the start of the poker game which is unique to the Twister series. Moreover, the first, progressive jackpot, is independent of gameplay and can be won even on a losing round!
For those who don’t know what’s Twister Poker: it’s an SNG (Social Network Game) that’s played with three players, and where the jackpot is a multiple of the buy-in, up to a maximum of 100x, and decided at random. It should be noted that the Age of the Gods version is a faster variation on the format, with a starting stack of just five big blinds.
