Neon Valley Studios Joins Microgaming Game Development Network

Microgaming is once again proving its position as one of the world’s leading iGaming developers with the introduction of its 9th independent game development studio: Neon Valley. Their very first game, Aurora Wilds, has already launched and is available for play since 10 September 2019!

With a mission to bring fresh ideas and unique characteristics into their online slots, Microgaming is building an army of micro-developers. This includes Pulse 8 Studios (Relic Seekers), All41studios (La Kaffee Bar), Switch, Fortune Factory (Village People), Sling Shot (Banana Odyssey), Stormcraft (Break Away Deluxe), Triple Edge Studios (Lara Croft Temples and Tombs), and Gameburger Studios (Break da Bank Again Respin), which was only introduced last month.

“Our studios strategy is designed to bring greater choice, innovation and quality to the market. Neon Valley have years of collective gaming industry knowledge and expertise, not to mention their own distinctive style and personality, and we are delighted to add them to our global roster of independent game studios,” said John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming.

Launched on 10 September, Aurora Wilds is an exciting new title made by experienced developers at this new studio. This 5x3-reel video slot comes with just 10 pay-lines and beautiful animations built upon Microgaming’s engine. The game features bonuses like Expanding Wilds on reels 2-4 and respins which they initiate while staying locked and increasing chances of a major win, for up to 3 successive respins! If this sounds familiar then it’s because NetEnt’s Starburst is played very much the same way.

To make their game more distinctive though, Neon Valley also added a Jackpot Wheel! Triggered by special Jackpot Triggers, this bonus feature guarantees 1 of 4 jackpots: Grand ($120,000), Major ($6,000), Minor ($3,000) or Mini ($900). Note that these prizes are not progressive. The game itself seems to be played at medium to high variance.

Brian Perego, Senior Creative Technical Designer at Neon Valley Studios, commented on his vision: “At Neon Valley Studios, we are dedicated to producing polished games of the highest quality, injecting our knowledge of slot design through the synergistic integration of game mechanics, visuals and the latest technology. Our relentless drive to create engaging gaming experiences for players is founded on our passion for games and the latest technological developments. We are delighted to bring ‘the spirit of Vegas’ to Microgaming on an exclusive basis, with Aurora Wilds marking the first wave of exciting content to come from Neon Valley Studios.”

That said, you try Neon Valley’s first slot Aurora Wildz for free or for real money at one of our reviewed Microgaming casinos and see if it has what it takes to take on the NetEnt classic!
