Gates of Olympus is Pragmatic Play's most influential slot and, alongside Sweet Bonanza, the template that defined the tumble-multiplier genre. Released in February 2021, it runs on a 6×5 grid with no paylines at all: wins require landing eight or more identical symbols anywhere on screen, after which the Tumble feature removes them and drops new symbols in, chaining consecutive wins within a single spin. The math lives in the multiplier orbs. Zeus randomly drops orbs valued from 2x to 500x onto the grid; when a tumble sequence wins, all visible orb values are summed and applied to the sequence total. The free spins round — 4 or more Zeus scatters, 15 spins — changes one crucial rule: multiplier values accumulate into a running total that persists and grows for the entire bonus, which is where the 5,000x maximum win concentrates. An Ante Bet option raises the stake 25% to double scatter frequency, and a bonus buy is available at 100x. The published RTP is 96.50%, but this is a variable-RTP title: Pragmatic Play distributes lower configurations that operators can select, and the exact reduced values are not publicly documented — the in-game paytable at your chosen casino is the only reliable confirmation of which version you are playing. Volatility is high, and the cluster math means long dry stretches between meaningful hits are part of the design. The Zeus franchise has since expanded aggressively: Gates of Olympus 1000, Super Scatter and Dice variants are live, and Gates of Olympus 2500 — raising the ceiling to 25,000x with multipliers up to 2,500x — is scheduled for late September 2026. Each is a separate game with its own math; a high score on one says nothing about another.
